Meet the Members!

Established for the 2015 Photo & Film Expo, “Body Incorporated” is a group of creative professionals united by vision, passion, talent and experience in their spheres of work. Here is a very brief introduction to each member:


Charmaine Buttrick – 2015 Body Painting Judge

Charmaine is a freelance makeup artist and multi-award winning body painter. She has over 20 years’ experience in the industry including a few years as a lecturer at her alma-mater, Face to Face.

Awards include:

  • 1st Place Professional – Cidesco Body Art Competition 2015
  • Kate Wacz Makeup Prize 2015
  • 1st Place 2013 Body Painting Competition
  • 3rd place Professional Division of the 1994 National Body Painting Competition                 

Her fine arts and body painting background has made Charmaine’s progression into the tattoo industry a natural one. She is a sought after tattoo artist based in Benoni with clients coming from all over Gauteng. Charmaine offers free consultation and design sessions.                       


Melissa Hogarth

Melissa has vast knowledge and experience in many fields giving her a very unique skill-set.
These include Marketing, Public Relations, Social Business, New Business Development, Leadership Development, Event Organizing and Photography.



Laetitia Kenny – 2015 Body Painting Judge


Ten years ago Laetitia Kenny founded LK Photography, a successful photography business offering services in everything from portraiture and fine art photography to corporate photography and everything inbetween.

Of her many achievements, Laetitia lists her greatest as being awarded the title of Master Photographer by the Photographic Society of South Africa (MPSSA) and being awarded her AFIAP (Artiste of the International Federation of Photographic Art) in Europe.

Her accolades also include receiving her EPSSA from the Photographic Society of South Africa.

Specialising in portraiture, Laetitia has written numerous magazine articles and has presented a number of lectures and workshops in this genre at national and regional congresses.

A body of her work was exhibited in Huangshan China in 2014 and she has been widely published in a number of photographic publications locally and internationally.

Locally she has been published in Go magazine, PIX, Country Life, Camera and Image and recently shot covers for Leadership Magazine, Image Magazine and the Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Handbook.

BrigitteBrigitte Lammers

After finishing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, Brigitte completed numerous other certificate courses from Public Relations to Event Management, coupled with over 12 different computer courses and other short courses specialising in Selling Skills, Time Management and Effective Communication. She then entered the beauty industry over 8 years ago when she studied Professional Makeup Artistry and soon after, added on qualifications in Special Effects Makeup, Hairstyling and Airbrush.
Brigitte is the founder of The Makeup Office, a successful makeup company which employs artists on a freelance basis. The company does makeup and hair for TV, film, fashion, editorial and the bridal industry. She is also a qualified Permanent Makeup Technician and has added that to the offerings of The Makeup Office.
Brigitte holds a SETA Trainer qualification and has for the last 5 years, been a freelance trainer in various makeup schools. Brigitte has helped train over 300 students on their road to becoming artists and assisted many more private individuals in learning how to apply their own makeup. She has years of industry experience which makes her teaching beyond compare and her passion for educating and love for people oozes from her pores when you meet her!

MnandiMnandi Joubert

Internationally qualified and accredited by CIDESCO in Makeup Artistry and Prosthetic Special Effects, Mnandi’s passion has always been to create. She loves using the body as a canvas on which to bring her art to life. Her training and experience has given her a broad spectrum in makeup in which she is comfortable namely: Beauty, Special Effects including Prosthetics, Body Painting and High Fashion.
Mnandi’s job as a makeup artist is to collaborate with photographers and film-makers to enhance and maximise the aesthetic value of any shoot. She is a specialist in special effects makeup, creating characters out of this world, changing a person’s features or to simply doing some gore. Connecting and collaborating with her clients is what brings to life the concepts and ideas they have in mind for their projects.
She has worked on short films for production companies that have been entered into film festivals. Currently a short film she recently worked on is going to the Berlin film festival for 2016.
To challenge herself, Mnandi finds it important to compete in body painting, and makeup competitions on a regular basis.

RudelleRudelle Oosthuysen

Rudelle is a 26-year-old singer / songwriter who has been trained, vocally, in several genres, including: blues, hard rock, pop rock, country and alternative.
Having a love for all forms of art, she recently discovered her love for body-painting! She lends her body to Makeup Artists, and adores the process of becoming something completely different from her everyday life.

As a singer, Rudelle is currently recording her full-length debut album and frequently post her progress on various social media platforms.


She has performed at numerous live gigs and thoroughly enjoys paying homage to her favourite bands and songs.
Rudelle is in her third – and final – year of studying Audio Technology at The Academy of Sound Engineering in Auckland Park. The location of the college is within the SABC so Rudelle gets to rub shoulders with many industry professionals.

ThaliaThalia Sklair

Thalia completed her BA PVA (Performing and Visual Arts) degree at Wits in 2013, majoring in Physical Theatre and Performing Arts Management. She danced in Bailey Snyman’s “Satyricon”, “Magnetic” and “Carrying the Fire”, for three consecutive years.
Thalia has been DJing professionally for 10 years this year, and has built up a name as one of South Africa’s most respected female DJs.
She is signed to the Teknotribe record label as a label DJ since 2012, and has played at countless venues and events in and around South Africa. Thalia currently co-hosts Mix93.8FM’s Sunset Dance with Al Gray, every Saturday from 7-9pm, and presents the industry news and gig guide on the show.
In addition to all of the above, Thalia is also the lead singer in the very popular, all-new, Electro-Swing band ‘FULL SWING’ as well as a Mermaid Underwater Model!

MinxMinxy Kidd

Minx is an anything but ordinary Hairstylist…
She studied and worked with Carlton Hair International for 6 years. In that time Minx won quite a few competitions in various categories; placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd at Hair and beauty Africa 2009, 2010 and 2011. Minx also placed 3rd in Dki Professional hair show 2014 and was the youngest entrant. The Star Newspaper interviewed Minx as a young, new and trending hairstylist.
The Mercedes fashion week shows are where her skills and fast fix hands are definitely tested.
Minx says her favourite working environment are Film Sets and Photo Shoots and has had the privilege of working with some of South Africa’s top Photographers.
Photo shoots that Minx has worked on include: Porshe design, T-Shirt terrorist, Department Of Squares, On-line magazines (Modern L).
On film sets, Minx has had the pleasure of meeting some amazing South Africa celebrities and doing their hair. These include Tamara Day (vocalist of Flash Republic), Jeannie D (Top billing presenter), Lady Lea (DJ), Lee-Ann Liebenberg (Model) and Noleen (3Talk TV Presenter).
